Just encountered someone describing a software bug as "crashing out". Not "crashing" but "crashing out", and now I'm picturing a software application flipping out and yelling at everyone 😂

Something I should practice doing is, letting myself strongly but not overwhelmingly feel a challenging feeling, then letting it dissipate. "The fear comes *fear washes over me*, the fear goes *fear washes away*"

Then use the comes/goes language to manage overwhelming feelings as well as numbness

TW call-of-the-void antisociality

Terrible discourse idea: "Does MTV getting replaced by YouTube represent a post-Epstein shift in strategy around stochastic grooming by corporate America? What do you think?"

"One day, regular working-class Americans such as myself will be featured on backdrops where the outline of our hair will be distinct. You may not agree; you don't have to. But I have been doing some pencil sketches on this concept, and I have realized there is another way..."

I grew up on showtunes and was tired of the Les Misérables soundtrack by age 11 but it's actually pretty good? It's a bit hodge-podgey, and Master of the House and Little People are annoyingly over-catchy, but as dramatic storytelling music it covers a lot of ground and does so pretty enjoyably 👀

Attorneys navigate the complex web of laws in order to assess risks and determine what is and isn't permissible as well as what you probably can get away with or not, which has a remarkable parallel to what cybersecurity auditors do.

Who says it better: "This is very risky and you should avoid it."

Work in 2021: it's too expensive to run two sites, we're merging them

Water pressure in now-crowded building 2024–now: oh you want flushing toilets when the office is busy? LOL LMAO YEAH RIGHT

Work in 2026: we're putting FLUSH AFTER USE signs on toilets because nobody flushes anymore apparently

found out "woke up from hypnotherapy without a personality for a few minutes" can be combined with "hypnosis where you lose awareness of your surroundings but don't lose consciousness". neat. just hitting the ❌ button on the open personality without a hard interruption to conscious thought

Every happy, successful trans person is a conservative policy failure. We must not just survive but also thrive despite all their attempts to stop it. Live your lives accordingly.

I would just like to remind people that sometimes I have poop on my body due to IBS or anal gone wrong as well as due to consensual scat play. I clean myself up carefully regardless of the reason. If you're bothered by the scat play part, you don't have to interact with me; take care of yourself.

Increasingly thinking about the fact that even though exhibitionism makes me uncomfortable due to my upbringing (yet also arouses me), it's nothing more than a nuisance unless the exhibitionist is trying to intimidate a bystander (which has a lower bar for male exhibitionists due to patriarchy)

My New Year's resolution, arbitrary as it is, is to be online less. I'm having trouble concentrating, chasing little dopamine hits instead of committing to long term activities like writing and reading. I'm addicted to the distractions, and it has to stop. I'm too old for this constant outrage. (1)

okay so grippy sock girl (me) is writing something semi-classical in 11/4 and it's kind of like the moonlight sonata pounding tubular bells in the ass? 🤔 (not intentionally lol) very unfinished. more parts to write (eg lower countermelody) and it may become longer but,

I imagine if you were a sword living in a society of sentient swords, you'd have celebrity swords which were used in famous battles or magically lodged in stone. But I wonder what other kinds of traits get you famous in sword society. Or infamous: maybe your hilt is showing too much patina in public

Boss: What are you doing?

Me: I thought we were allowed to do vibe coding now. Was that not correct

Boss: THAT'S what you're doing?

Me: Well I just programmed this buttplug vibrator to read me my emails via Morse Code so yes

Boss: Hmm, ok. As long as it's not in prod

Me: No just on my prostate

I pray for the gods to do what voters didn't do and Congress isn't doing. 🙏

I mean, I'm actually pretty agnostic, but the right sequence of events might change that, you know?

Sometimes I think self awareness is stored in the mind as a web of connected cognitive chains that provide feedback loops, built on top of lower-level chains of thought which form awareness of environment (and this can build layers of sophistication upon itself, in a hologram-like holistic way);

A lot of the "Erika Kirk grieving: *pop star making dramatic entrance in risqué outfit*" posts are making me realize the difference between some softcore OF content and some pop music concerts is just your pyrotechnics + lighting budget lol

Can't wait until we have a court case where someone with a bunch of pirated movies saved them in a directory called "Model Training Data"

And I'm sure Meta can't either lol

I think humans regularly resolve tensions in ways which push society backwards because progress often involves trying many things to find what works most reliably and safely, but I think societies also regularly reach tipping points for sharing wisdom as a collective product of survival instincts...
