There are good reasons for this and I'd be happy to sit down and explain them to folks over longform mediums.
But the crux of it is A LOT of queer people will not trust you if you consume or promote the awful Wizard Child IP.

There are good reasons for this and I'd be happy to sit down and explain them to folks over longform mediums.

I remember a convo some time ago where a Twitter exec said something like "We only really want people talking about ads and media. All the other conversations are free rider spoilage"
and I think about that a lot, and how it's true. Platforms want to be just about commercial product. Even by law.

A lot of people who have been about owning your own data and having alternative contact options are feeling VERY upset that they've been vindicated today and are either now being asked "WHAT DO I DO?!" or told they didn't warn loudly enough.

I made 4 unsuspecting people play Crazy Frog Arcade Racer for an hour and then commentated it.
One of our racers fell through the track four times. They probably got off the easiest.

The "Fuck ICE" chant on AEW Dynamite last night gave me life. I stayed up til almost 5am grabbing a VOD of the show and watching it just to see that.

The Sega Master System X-Men: Mojo World is real dire. It's four stages, with awful physics, no signposting, and you can beat every boss by turning on your mutant power and damage racing them.

Decided to tinker around with Super Woden Rally Edge in a 4am stream. I got credits, looked up, and it was almost 11. Oops.

I dunno. Since about 2019 or so I've had a level of trust that GDQ is genuinely trying so even when things look bad from the outside or they unabashedly Screw Up, I tend to believe a correction will happen.
To my knowledge I've never been wrong about that.

I've largely stepped back from my "Maybe GDQ should drop PCF" stance that I had in anger during the event.
I do think GDQ could do better with someone else, but the risk and cost of changing is... extreme.
We'll see; there needs to be assurances our donations aren't going to weird LLM stuff.

Not a single fracking middle-click actually opened a tab for some reason and I didn't realize til I'd closed the list.

I think it's time to cut PCF loose and see if MSF wants to collab on both major GDQ events.
I'm sure it's not that easy. I'm sure there's contracts and fiduciary concerns. But enough of this.
