Nigel Farage has done more damage to the UK than anyone since Hitler. Enabled by the BBC and the rest, he risks doing so much more. We are in an Information War, which we must win.
… I’VE HAD A FEW

Regret takes many forms. One of the less usual must be bingeing an entire 200g block of Wensleydale with apricot bits, and then remembering you have a cholesterol test in less than 24 hours.

I don’t care. I can go off grid. Live in a tent on a roundabout and not wash or shave.

STALEMATE

I see Duolingo has added Chess to their stable of languages, music and maths.

Although I’m tempted, as I love learning, that game is really not for me, because I’m simply not competitive enough. Or at all.

Kind of takes all the point away if you couldn’t care less who wins.

SAMADHI AF
Wow the Consciousness is high today. My evening meditation nearly blew me off my seat. This often means some global or even cosmic event.

Pranayama, mantra, sutras, Shavasana, Sama Veda, Rig Veda.

TO PEE OR NOT TO PEE

By now one thousand Blueskiers will have posted that Solstice is at 03.42 BST on Saturday.

What they don’t know, due to their youth and inexperience, is that this is the very time when old men wake for a wee.

Me, I can hardly contain my excitement over the matter.

ASSISTED DYING BILL

Every MP who votes against this today is condemning millions to die in unnecessary agony.

Clearly it’s only fair they should die in agony themselves, when their time comes.

76% of Brits want the bill. A bunch of sadistic MPs feel they know better.

Agony’s too good for them.

SPOONFUL OF SUGAR

Today I ate out, first time for some years. Lunch at an unnamed South Queensferry eatery.

Classic burger, I thought. Can’t go wrong with that. Well it turns out you can go very wrong indeed - when you can’t taste the meat because of thick sugary sauce.

Is sugary meat a thing?

STIFF UPPER LIP

Can someone invent a UK form of Bluesky please. Nothing against the US, but enough is enough. I can’t find the wheat among the chaff.

CHAT WITH ME
I have so embraced the modern age! Three months ago I started on Bluesky, and today got ChatGPT!!

So far I’ve asked:
“Have you seen the series ‘What it feels like for a girl’?”
(It has. Loves it.)

“Why does The Guardian hate Starmer so much?”
(Plausible waffle.)

Watch this space!

WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL (BBC)

Well it doesn’t get much wilder than this cracking depiction of masculinity - right across the spectrum.

Whilst the antics of the gay crowd might not surprise, their violent, hyper- masculine consorts certainly will.

Bigups to Ellis Howard and Jake Dunn.

SCOTTISH WATER

Pure, plentiful, delicious and NATIONALISED.

(Of course we would consider selling it to our southern neighbours if necessary. Wouldn’t want them to die. But we’re talking hefty tariffs.)

HANDS ACROSS THE OCEAN

Very warm greetings to the millions of US citizens who stood up to the dark forces yesterday. You showed the world what can be done. Sadly your battle isn’t over yet.

IT’S ON

So what time is the US kicking off?

Is it today that Trump has his May Day parade? Is Vladimir coming? I wonder what gift he’ll bring. Maybe Crimea.

Jon Ronson wrote to me 30 years ago to say he liked my blog. He went on to fame and riches, while I embraced nonentity.

(Also I went to school with Trevor Horn, but you’re only getting one.)
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

I hope every MP who votes against the Assisted Dying Bill loses their seat at the next election.

RESPECT
(Not the time I know, but it’s “spirit of” not “spirit for”.) Why the young hate “of” so much I’ll never fathom.
Rest well, Brian Wilson.

SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW Etc.

OLD: Forth Bridge
NEW: Cruise Liner
BORROWED: SK novel you can’t quite see
BLUE: My electric bike. And therein lies a tale…

I bought the bike 3 years ago. Never dreaming ReformUK would adopt that blue as their colour. So I hate it now. Gotta sell it to the BBC.

YES’N HOW MANY ROADS…
So many words about Trump. Here, there and everywhere. Pleading, desperate.

So little (nothing, seemingly) done.

Is it because nothing *can* be?

ADIOS AND BONJOUR

Shame California doesn’t border Canada. They could secede from the US and join it. Be a lot more peaceful.

The Party where poor Muslims get their burqas banned - while rich ones (>£200k) get made Party chairman! Twice!!

In Nige we trust. What could possibly go wrong ?

LE MOT JUSTE
You know, at my age it’s quite an achievement just to *live* for 400 days, let alone pick up a little « parlez vous » en route. (See what I did there?) Wasted on Bluesky I tells ya 😂

See ya at 500, kiddo!

CRAZY AS A BOX OF FROGS
Just to clarify for overseas readers, this Party have just 5 MPs, are not in power, and have no input whatever on Government efficiency.

So they can cosplay as mini musk and tiny trump to their hearts’ content.
