I will not be buying any World Cup tickets or merchandise due to FIFA’s collaboration with the Trump regime.

Gianni Infantino has a dictator fetish. It’s grotesque.
Fifa agrees World Cup matches can be moved at Trump’s request
The president has been warning host cities under Democratic control that he will call on Fifa’s president to switch venues if he deems there is a problem

In normal times, it would be a major scandal for the President to direct his AG to criminally investigate his political opponents to deflect from his own involvement in a major scandal — and for the AG to immediately announce she is doing it. The Epstein scandal and cover up just got even bigger.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 84th day out of the last 96.

12 days of work in over 3 months.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

An embarrassingly obvious point, but...

This. Is. Illegal.

If anything like the rule of law were in force, Trump couldn't arbitrarily increase a tariff because he is annoyed.

In important and increasing ways, the rule of law in the US no longer exists.

It's not the most important part of the issue but Kavanaugh saying "well they should just sue if they're the victims of excessive force from ICE" when he himself has previously voted to bar lawsuits against federal officers for violations of the 4th Amendment in immigration cases takes chutzpah.

In 2013 SCOTUS removed Southern States from the requirements of the Voting Rights Act passed in the 1960’s. It reasoned it was obsolete.

In 12 short years, Texas has managed to get back to invalidating minorities votes and sending masked paramilitary after minorities.

The only thing more disgraceful than having groveling cabinet members so willing to debase themselves in this shameless way is having such a damaged, insecure, and needy president that they know desperately needs to hear this BS.

So if the 1% are paid mostly on stock how do they grow the value of their companies shares? Some of them innovate but innovation isn't really reliable and consistent. Instead they off-shore jobs to low-cost geographies and buy back stock.
