Through the perspective of G'raha Tia who has just waded into the waters, Persephius is seen combing his hair to the right side of his neck using his left hand, bathing in the waters of Silvertear Lake at night. He is standing in hip-deep water and faced away, naked and skin glistening in the low light. Overhead, the air shimmers with the unique gloom of Mor Dhona. Persephius comes from a culture where communal bathing among men is common, so he suggested they bathe in the lake after training. This takes place in ARR, during the Crystal Tower expedition. Through the perspective of G'raha Tia, Persephius turns momentarily to smile at him and acknowledge his arrival before he continues with his bath, but this exact moment will be burned into G'raha's mind for centuries to come, being the first and last time he will see Persephius completely bare before he shuts himself away in the Tower and is woken to a timeline where Persephius has died in a traumatic way. This memory will end up being one of the most idyllic of his life in the "time before," and one that he guiltily clings to in his affections (romantic and sexual).

Persephius holds the handles of a pot of stew, which is steaming, down on a cork mat on the counter in their kitchen. He is wearing a black turtleneck, smiling down at a job well done, the stew now fully prepared. Ivy creeps down from their planters above, agains the wall behind him. G'raha is dressed in a dark-red sweater and turning back to look at Persephius, standing in front of two tables lined with enough food to feed an entire party. He smiles, saying, "A triumphant sound, indeed. Have you finished the stew at last?" Persephius looks up from the stew, and replies, "I believe I have. This should be the last of the food, and still with a few minutes to spare. Thank you for all of your help. I scarcely could have managed on my own with so many mouths to feed." G'raha smiles warmly at him, chuckling. Even still, there is a wistful twinge in his expression.
