Not good. We need proper due diligence to build or keep trust in our actions. Years to build, moments to destroy. #unitedwestanddividedwefall

Completely agree. We should not let it feel “normal” that people are trying to intimidate voters. This is NOT the American way.
We’re going to have to get used to this. 2026 and 2028 are likely to look very similar.

No matter what side of the aisle you’re on, attempts to prevent US citizens from voting should be a red line for you.

We can’t allow terroristic threats to keep us from the polls.
Breaking from NJ AG Platkin:

"Early this morning, law enforcement responded to threats that were received by email involving certain polling places in Bergen, Essex, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Passaic Counties. Law enforcement … have worked swiftly to secure these polling locations."

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Republicans’ march toward unilaterally passing a congressional redistricting plan in November continued apace Tuesday, as the GOP-dominated Ohio Redistricting Commission convened for less than half an hour without accomplishing anything.

Went to the No Kings protest in Cincinnati. A few observations:

1. It felt like a flash mob as more people kept coming and coming.

2. Surprising number of first time protestors (including a lot of veterans). The organizer asked for people to raise their hands to get an idea.

Another example that we are out of control. This is nuts. Liars stick together.

Very excited to see the hostages returned. I am critical of the current administration, but will be fair and give them credit that they got this accomplished. Praying that the peace continues.

I am sure the founding fathers did not grant anyone plenary authority. How in the world was Jan 6th not enough to keep this administration out of office….

Included memorable lesson from my 8th grade Euro history teacher in my testimony: she split us into groups, gave criteria for drawing post-conflict maps, and had us present. She ended by asking, “Did you ask the people living there how they’d like the maps drawn?” Striking how this plays out now…

I encourage all Ohioans to look into the current efforts to redraw our congressional districting maps.Attaching the proposal being discussed tomorrow. Submit your testimony by 9:00am tomorrow for it to be considered.Hold leaders accountable to not create a map without public input. Unlike last time!

As of today, I have not heard how the joint committee on congressional redistricting will get the public testimony on their proposed map. As a matter of fact, I have not seen a map outside of those submitted by the public. The majority in power are using the same unconstitutional tactics once again.

Attended Ohio’s joint redistricting committee meeting. No plan presented for public testimony. Entire discussion centered on party outcomes—not keeping communities intact or curbing blatant gerrymandering. A complete betrayal of what voters demanded in 2018. Ohioans should be outraged.

I met one of the candidates for Ohio Sec of State. Bryan Hambley. He was refreshing and recognized that elected officials need to support all citizens of Ohio. He is touring the state and making an effort to meet with people in rural districts. Regardless of your politics, you should meet him.
