Did Ukraine return ALL its nuclear weapons to Russia in the 1990s - where corruption in the military was and is endemic? If he wants to retaliate can Putin take that risk? We have seen how Ukraine is able embed its assets unseen deep inside Russia...

On the bright side, 50% tariffs would absolutely clobber Ratcliffe's jeeps. Should have built them in UK...

It's a startlingly rare event in our lifetimes to have the convergence of St George's day and bin day. Probably won't happen again for centuries.

Enjoyed last night in the Cotswolds with a lovely family from Connecticut. It's a blue state but even so, we were glad we didn't hear Trump's speech until we were driving home.

If this results in a big oil spill the prevailing wind will push it ashore in Richard Tice's constituency. There's no secret that he is funded by fossil fuel interests. Karma?
From Marine Traffic, here's the moment of the crash between the oil tanker MV Stena Immaculate and a cargo vessel MV Solong. Live updates here www.theguardian.com/uk-news/live...
