Asked our Gr 5 students to draw a scientist. 50/54 drew a male presenting person. We had a really great conversation about it but clearly so much more work still needs to be done to see women represented in science in the media.

S: Harmonica!
Coteacher: Do you mean Jewish?
Me: (WTF - how - what?)
C: Like, Hanukkah?
Never would have made that connection.

Standing in solidarity in SK with AB teachers! Enough is enough. No one wants to strike - we didn’t. But the govt refused to negotiate in good faith until it was inconvenient for the public and they started to hear about it. Get loud. Make them hear!

Same for the legislature in Saskatchewan. The SaskParty are so gross with zero decorum or respect for anyone. I refuse to take my kids there for a field trip because I can’t explain to them why such a disgusting space is “representing” our province.

I’m glad for the outreach that Air Canada’s flight attendants’ union has made. I was unaware how little they made and how much unpaid time they put in. Ball’s in your court, Air Canada. If flights are cancelled, inconveniencing so, so many people, it’s on you. Make a fair deal!

Here?Got sideswiped doing about 115km/hr on Hwy 1 this morning- driver didn’t shoulder check-my brain and body are both sore and I have to deal with SGI,(car is damaged but driveable) and the normal amount of dealing with trauma and ADHD. So, yeah, life. And weeds.

while I love seeing my province get recognition via the subway it also hurts to see Sask try to promote the province as LGBTQ+ friendly when our premier’s campaign promise was to ban trans kids from going to whichever change room they felt most comfortable in to the point of doxxing literal children
