We need real, immediate reforms to ICE, but reforms are meaningless if they’re not implemented and enforced. My new ICE Accountability Act with @warren.senate.gov creates a new independent commission to oversee ICE—just like many police forces across the country have—to ensure any reforms stick.

The administration can try to play the “we did what we came to do, and we’re leaving“ card in Minnesota, but nobody will believe them. It’s clear that their own brutal excesses plus the great courage and resistance of the people, plus a lot of video, forced their hand and made them look for the exit
