Some groups continue to use extreme examples to seek blanket bans on trans women, this time in Tasmanian women’s prison.

The current TasGov case-by-case approach is a sensible one that protects all women. Equality Tasmania has asked the Government to maintain and develop it.

Yesterday, the Australian newspaper said Tasmania has banned trans women from women’s prisons. Today, the Hobart Mercury reported that’s not true and the TasGov continues to allow trans women to be held in the state’s women’s prison.

A big thank you to the Hobart Mercury for publishing my article about what remains to be done despite Tasmania leading the nation on financial redress for victims of our former laws against homosexuality and cross-dressing. As you’ll see, there’s quite a bit.

Again, more evidence that the ALP aren’t serious about the climate and biodiversity crises on this planet. Shame on @murraywatt and @albomp.bsky.social. You have opportunities to be revolutionary in this space like your predecessors. #politas #auspol

Minister Julie Collins on ABC radio saying you can have strong Env laws and a salmon industry so why did she vote to weaken the existing law for multinational tax avoiding companies? Totally gutless! #politas Do not vote for duopoly.

This budget was a missed opportunity to get dental into Medicare.

To make the big corporations pay their fair share of tax.

Instead of focusing on cost-of-living relief, Labor used the cover of the budget to do a deal with Dutton to gut our environment laws.

My fellow senate candidate @vanessableyer.bsky.social, has shared her personal story of the importance of @greens.org.au plan to introduce ADHD and Autism diagnoses.

If you want change, you have to vote for it.

If you haven’t met her yet, this is my sister Caz. I am her NDIS plan nominee. She is 44 years old. Her whole life we have fought for assessments and diagnoses and it cost us many thousands of dollars which we struggled to pay.

Greens pressure works!

Labor’s extra investment into Medicare will make a huge difference. This announcement is a significant part of the Greens ‘GP for Free’ plan.

We have pressured Labor to act, and they finally have - voting Greens forces Labor to do better.
