I was in my teens when my family was evicted by a big bank.

We had just 48 hours to leave our home.

That moment has never left me—and it’s why I’m so passionate about fighting for housing justice.

Together, we can protect this special place and grow regional jobs through nature-based tourism.

Let's make this vision real 💚

Jobs and nature go hand in hand in Braddon.
Tourists come to see our forests, coastlines, and mountains.

Let’s protect them—and create more jobs doing it.

Vote 1 Vanessa Bleyer for Braddon.

I had a laugh with Bob in Devonport—but behind the smiles is a serious truth.

Bob lives with Multiple Sclerosis and told me : he can’t access the healthcare he needs.

He’s not alone. Tasmanians deserve better healthcare, not a billion dollar stadium

Met Thomas on the streets of Ulverstone.

And asked him : “Who are you voting for?”
Thomas : 👉 “You—because you’re kind and genuine.”

Brenda said it best:
🌿 “The environment is a big issue. We need an environmental lawyer in Parliament—Vanessa’s our girl.”

Tasmania deserves a strong legal voice to stand up for nature.

I’m ready to take that fight to Parliament.

"Stop the stadium. Protect the forests.” 🌳

That’s what I heard from Peter —and it’s what so many people across Braddon are saying loud and clear.

Tasmanians are ready for a government that protects what we love, not one that sells it out.

💚 Vote 1 Vanessa Bleyer for Braddon.

Tasmanian students are waiting more than 100 days just to see a school psychologist. That’s unacceptable.

The Greens have a clear plan to fix this:

✅ Fund 20 additional school psychologists statewide
✅ Improve student wellbeing and learning outcomes
✅ Ease the pressure on our overworked teachers

Together, we’re standing up for something that’s long overdue:
An environmental lawyer in Parliament—someone who understands the law and uses it to protect Tasmania’s natural beauty. 🌳⛰️

I’m ready to be that voice. 💚

Tasmania is wild, beautiful, and worth fighting for. 💚🌳

I’ve spent over 20 years as an environmental lawyer—now I’m ready to take that fight to the heart of decision-making.

Vote to get an environmental lawyer into Parliament. Tasmania deserves it. 💚

Met Paul while doorknocking in East Devonport —an underground miner, logger, and one of the early fish farmers in Macquarie Harbour.

He’s seen it all, and he’s had enough of environmental damage.

💬 “Quite frankly, all this rubbish has to stop—and we need to get the plastics out of the water.”
July 14, 2025 at 6:07 AM
💬 “I love the AFL, but right now—what we really need are hospitals, specialists, and housing.”

That’s what we heard while door-knocking in East Devonport , and they’re absolutely right.

So many of you told me you’re voting for the environment this election—and I hear you loud and clear.

I’ll fight to end native forest logging and stop the damage caused by industrial salmon farms.

Let's protect Braddon together 💚

Robbins Island is one of the most ecologically significant places in Tasmania.
It’s home to the last disease-free population of Tasmanian devils on Earth.

What a great event at Ulverstone last night with @senatorsurfer.bsky.social and Basil O’Hallaran where we talked about all of the things that are more important for the government to spend money on than a new billion dollar stadium in Hobart, such as health, housing and education.

"Who is Vanessa Bleyer?”

When I was 10, I wrote a poem about a Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagle—despite never having set foot in Tasmania. Even then, I felt a deep connection to this place and a calling to protect it.

We’re in a housing crisis—and it’s hitting Braddon hard.

That’s why I’m calling for $100 million per year to build 200 new public homes across Tasmania. 🏡

We can fund it by making big corporations pay their fair share—just like the rest of us.

Join the movement this week, whether it’s a doorknock or our "No New Stadium" conversation event.

Let’s talk about real priorities: health, housing, and a protected environment.

Together, we can turn Braddon Green. 💚

Our environment is Braddon’s greatest asset. 🌎🌳

Nature-based tourism can deliver jobs, protect our wild places, and strengthen local business.

We can turn Braddon’s natural wonders into a thriving, sustainable tourism economy—without harming what makes them special. 💚

It’s voices like Sophie’s that remind me why this campaign matters so much.

Braddon deserves a representative who’ll fight for its people and protect its natural beauty.
With your support, we can make that happen. 💚

I spent the afternoon connecting with nature in the Dial Range today with Bob Brown and Paul O’Hallaran. Dial Range is the crown of the central coast of Braddon, full of natural wonders. The greatest employer in Braddon is tourism. Tourists come to Braddon for its natural wonders.

Kicked off NAIDOC Week today in Pataway/Burnie with Krystelle and the amazing team at the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre.

This year’s theme is all about the next generation—and that’s exactly who we fight for.
July 7, 2025 at 2:36 AM
Just this year, I helped stop the eviction of a long-term resident from Beauty Point Caravan Park. 🏡

Now in Shearwater, I’m hearing the same concern—people want stronger protections for caravan park tenants.

The toxic salmon industry has no place in Bass Strait.

Foreign-owned companies kicked out of other countries are now polluting our waters—and paying zero tax to do it.

If they profit from our environment, the least they can do is pay their fair share.

A watchdog should be able to bite—not just bark.

We need an EPA that protects Tasmania, not one run by political interference.
