Hey @anosou.com, I was rewatching some early Cobalt promotional videos, and I found this video which features a version of the Cobalt theme not found in the games files or on your Bandcamp. Do you still have a copy of this track? Are there any other official tracks that may have been lost to time?

MortissMonster published two new Classic Survival gamemode maps to #MojangCobalt 's Steam Workshop this month. Classic Survival was the original version of the Survival gamemode during Cobalt's alpha, but it was reworked into the Waves Survival mode we have today before the full release. (1)

I (TrenchcoatCraig) made a new Deathmatch map for #MojangCobalt by #OxeyeGameStudio. It's quick, chaotic, and uncompromising in my creative vision.

#CobaltWASD broke it's all-time concurrent stream viewer count today thanks to LastOfManny on Twitch, according to SteamDB statistics.

LastOfManny and the Cobalt community played in a modded Cobalt WASD server supporting up to 20 players simultaneously, hitting a concurrent player count of 11.

Four games I’ve worked on, I guess!

Haven’t done new game music in a while, that much is clear. 🫣

If you play #CobaltWASD on Steam, did you know there's a secret re-balance update branch? On the Steam Library page, select Settings>Properties>Betas and enter the code "wowthatissomestuff" to access the secret beta.

The beta has tweaked physics, reworked AI balance, and entirely new shops. Try it!

Example of a map made possible with Creeper-boop's editor patches. Grove by Janeator.

Posting a bit late for Halloween. This map features custom foliage and flora, swarms of seething Spikebirds, and a spooky surprise halfway in! The video speaks for itself. (1 of 2)

Minecraft added a new splash text to celebrate Kurtjmac walking to the farlands! Becoming one of the very few players to be officially recognized this way!

Cobalt's level editor is known for being... not very stable or easy to use. That's why Creeper-boop has spent hours dissecting Cobalt and making patches to improve usability! Most modern maps for Cobalt are made with these patches, which - (1 of 2)

"Friendly Competition": a Team Strike map for #MojangCobalt by Kip on Steam.

The unique diamond shape funnels players into combat rapidly, and enables innumerable amazing escapes and high-speed flanks. This map truly brings out the best in Cobalt.

Bet on Cobalt was a crowd-controlled gambling simulator hosted by Mojang to promote Cobalt in the weeks leading up to its release. Viewers could bet on the outcome of Team Strike matches played exclusively by bots, and buy cosmetic enhancements for others to see in Twitch chat or on stream. (1 of 3)

The first step in Computational Mapmaking in #MojangCobalt, The Wave Generation Computer Complex; a wave generator by Tycho on Steam.

This map uses wires and terminal to power terminal screens in waves, generating unique and interesting patterns.

Finally fleshed out my profile page, going to start posting about community-created content for #MojangCobalt and #CobaltWASD here.

I will not be using \#Cobalt because that hashtag has a lot of existing posts - none of them about these games.

Can't wait to show you all what we've been up to!

To be clear: This would be disastrous for the thousands of folks that would lose their jobs, for QA as a discipline (it’s clear the people making these decisions don’t understand what quality stakeholders actually do), and ultimately for the games themselves that will suffer and fail.
Square Enix wants 70% of its QA work to be handled by generative AI by the end of 2027, in partnership with the University of Tokyo's Matsuo-Iwasawa Laboratory. https://bit.ly/4qKdyQR

@anosou.com Hi Anosou. I'm a big fan of the soundtrack you made for Oxeye Game Studio's "Cobalt." I'm not sure who's all involved in the licensing agreements, but will it ever see a release through streaming, digital stores like iTunes and Steam, or maybe even a physical release on CD?
