Looking through the daily sketchbook/notebook I brought to Madagascar. I can't believe it's already 8 years ago.
I was my dream to go since I was 13 and it's the only 'exotic wildlife' trip I've ever been on. My body can't handle a lot so I'm not sure if I could ever return most of these areas.

Text: Day 15 'Today we made a morning hike to Ankarafantsika NP and saw a ton of animals! Some were: - Coquerel's sifaka (with baby!) - Brown lemur - Paradise flycatcher (white!) - Snake-eyed gecko - Flatid leaf bug nymph - Cuckoo roller - Red-capped coua - Nile crocodile + dumb egret - Ant lion - Rufous vanga - Van Dam's vanga - Sickle-billed vanga - Madagascar swift (lizard) Afterwards we made the long, long drive to Antsohihy and in the evening we arrived at our hotel with pizza (!) and airco (!!!)' Thomas, Eden and my mom stayed to take care of me. However, in the afternoon I felt okay enough to briefly made a 1km hike, joined by guides. Soon we got a good view of both a sportive lemur (awake!) and a blue eyed lemurs!’ Illustrations: Lepilemur sahamalenzis Eulemur flavifrons ♂ Eulemur flavifrons ♀ ‘Sahamalaza sportive lemur & blue eyed lemurs. I almost fainted right after and was in bed the rest of the time, but so worth it!!’
