The thing that keeps sitting with me about that episode is change. This week I finished John Higgs’ superb ‘Exterminate/Regenerate’ which talks brilliantly about how the show is built on and driven by change, forever moving forward. I’m not 100% that this is anything like that.

Can I just say, as an episode without all the epilogue stuff, that was a pretty decent episode of Doctor Who imo. Nice for Thirteen to finally appear in a good episode as well.

I watched that in the cinema. I liked it overall but there were a couple of things that I really didn’t like - not even like a ‘sort of didn’t get’ dislike; just flat out disliked. I don’t know what the rules are on spoilers so separate post.

Well that’s my evening sorted. I’m going to put on some shorts and get sweaty whilst listening to this review. Then I’m going to rewatch the episode in its entirety and thank all the gods for Doctor Who being brilliant again.

I’m coming back to this now because it tracks so here goes:
Put Belinda in Series 1 and the quality improves to an unfathomable degree. I feel so bad because MG seems lovely but either she or Ruby the character just doesn’t have ‘it’.

Managed to get my eldest into Doctor Who over the last couple of weeks and was therefore lucky enough to spend £15 on a second hand Dalek toy at a local comicon this weekend. His Dalekmania must be fed.
