It's 2026. If you are telling people to disable secure boot to boot into a Linux distro, maybe they shouldn't being using that distro.

DO NOT TELL PEOPLE DUALBOOT LINUX AND WINDOWS UNLESS YOU HATE THEM. PARTITIONS ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH. SEPARATE DRIVES ONLY.

Did you know: an undocumented part of Siri Shortcuts is only 1 shortcut can be set as a login item. Adding another will silently fail. #apple #mac

I'm currently experimenting with Siri Shortcuts to automate updates via Homebrew on some Macs I have access to. You can setup specific Siri Shortcuts to activate upon login. #mac #apple

It's crazy that people are accusing Google of invading your privacy by reading your RCS messages... on a work device.

When there's an MDM on a company phone, all privacy bets are off. Bet your IT department has tons of fun with harassment allegations or illicit material sent via company phone.

@signal.org continues to take Ls on the desktop when they chose to create an AppImage from scratch and doesn't work everywhere instead of supporting the already built Flatpak that works everywhere. I'd rather Signal discontinues the desktop app and making the service a web app.

Valve says it's working on anti-cheat compatibility issues for online games on SteamOS.

A Valve developer remarked that the company has opened up its platform APIs for developers to work with.

They caveated that "game developers will have to decide at their own rhythm" to build support, however.

It's so easy to paint a corporation as a bad guy when the main ffmpeg Twitter goes on a power trip blaming Google and praises assembly code like it's a badge of honor. Yet the real people who fix problems get no attention.
