I'm personally 100% in for James Talarico, but I can't help but shake my head at the sad folks who are downplaying Rep. Jasmine Crockett's chances. She's brilliant, a great communicator, and has wide support among the Dem base in Texas. Underestimate at her at your own peril.

• The survivors most probably had no idea they were under attack or let alone by whom – and likely believed their boat exploded for mundane/non-military reasons.
• It is normal human nature, survival instinct, and entirely reasonable for anyone in at distress at sea to call for help.
