The National Capital Commission has asked us to postpone snow grooming until mid-December. Today's snowfall is a positive sign of good things to come.

It's almost time! Not quite enough snow to groom the trails, but enough to demo the equipment to some Stittsville based volunteers looking to expand Ottawa's Urban Winter Trails network. Hoping for enough snow in ~2 weeks to begin grooming!

The west end of @skiheritageeast was groomed this evening from p27 to the @ncc_ccn River House. The p27 loop is 80% nice, classic & skate set well. West of there, skate was improved, a little, & classic was too hard to set. Use it while it lasts! Still 20-50cm packed base!

Almost the whole @skiheritageeast trail has been groomed today, from Tweedle Rd to the @ncc_ccn River House. Conditions are good overall, with some short icy bits. The drifts have been tamed in the west, but it's single track along the water near p27/Green's Creek.

The Ski Heritage East Trail is closed near Ogilvie road, including the P7 parking lot. For the next few days, the best conditions will be between Shefford and Tweedle, we'll get back to the west end when conditions and weather permit.

Ski Heritage East has been groomed from end to end. Skate and classic. Conditions are soft, and windy! Bonus points if you can find the track everywhere ;)

Groomer Andy was out this evening and cleaned up the @skiheritageeast skate track from Tweedle Rd to Green's Creek. The weather forecast looks good for grooming and skiing the next few days, should be great for the weekend!

Attempts were made... Things are rough west of Green's Creek, but good to the east. Beautiful clear (windy!!) night to try to tackle some drifts in the west, and get pulled out of a hole that buried the machine.. Avoid the lower section of the loop @ p27. Big drifts, soft snow.

Groomer Steve is out tackling snow drifts on the west end of the trail.. there are some monsters out there! Andy was out earlier today, the whole trail is groomed, but soft, with some lumpy drifted sections.

The @skiheritageeast trail has been rolled and packed today, tracks set as well but the wind filled those pretty quickly. More grooming, and more snow to come, it'll take some time to firm things up.

Skate & classic groomed on the west end of @skiheritageeast from the figure 8/Green's Creek to the @ncc_cnn River House. Nice fresh snow, soft now but should firm up overnight.
