I spent 6 weeks there last year and couldn’t stop saying WOW. I agree it’s full of crazy amazing creatures! Loved it and the beautiful people. I’m still trying to identify and upload photos to INaturalist. Smattering below.

Skagit Christmas bird count January 1st is in the bag! Nice first of year birds appeared in the fog: Trumpeter Swans, Red-tailed Hawks, a few yellow pops = Western Meadowlarks in the old corn field. Big aerobatic show by Dunlin flying thru the farm fields

I think something’s going on with White-throated Sparrows! I’m in Seattle and I have 2 with my Golden-crowned Sparrow flock. They are a much more common bird here than they used to be. Such a beautiful bird!!
