I was informed that it’s because the USA is hosting after France, but alphabetically it should be with in the S countries in Italian Stati Uniti! So it’s not political, I was wrong.

My Swiss husband, who loves sports, and is fluent in Italian, doesn’t believe me when I say the Olympics are political. But why was the USA 3 to last in the order of countries, even though it doesn’t work alphabetically? The last 2 being the next host country and the host country.

So they have several arenas throughout northern Italy, so they set up entrances for all the athletes in all the different areas.

I’m watching an NBC feed on VPN, and my husband is watching on our local Swiss channel. It’s amazing how knowledgeable the Swiss commentators are on the countries and athletes! And no commercials! #openingceremony

I just watched the Gap again, in my Pluribus rewatch. It’s really truly a masterpiece. I just drips with symbolism and social commentary, but to the naked eye it seems like nothing at all happens. Genius. I just love it so much.
