Possibly the biggest comic geek in Nunavut. Probably still a bastard.

I urge everyone at Thanksgiving to reply to all political rhetoric from your drunk father-in-law with “quiet piggy” and see what happens.
I’ll report back with my findings.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

40 years ago, the first comic of Calvin and Hobbes was published… setting off decades of children being inspired to be cartoonists.

Bill should be ashamed of himself. My god. Look at all those cartoonists just out and about now. Gross.

Seeing this when I was 4 was bad, but watching Orca at 8 was much worse.

Worth reading for lines like this - The encounter was recorded on video and resulted in most fans pleading for the employee to be reinstated since he (1) was helping a coworker deal with a confrontational customer and (2) was the only one in the ballpark who had hit anything worth a damn all year.
As someone married to a life-long Pirates fan...yeah.
Why are there still Pirates fans? defector.com/why-are-ther...

Check to see if any of da b’yes form around the bay are in Paris at the moment.
“Thieves broke into Paris' Louvre museum on Sunday, using a crane and smashing an upstairs window and stealing priceless jewellery from an area that houses the French crown jewels before escaping on motorbikes, the French government said.”

sorry this is too cool to be arrested for, them’s the rules

@gregrucka.com Congrats on the Mariners' win. I was reading the recent Lazarus HC last night and was delighted to see a reference to Baker Lake. I live in Nunavut, so excellent job by you and @michaellark.bsky.social on the future look. The flag and buildings on pylons are excellent details.

If these bastards could roll Stan’s corpse out for a photo op for money they would. It’s disgusting and anyone who pays for this should be ashamed.
For decades, Stan Lee was the king of comic conventions. Now, nearly seven years after his death at the age of 95, he will once again be a presence at L.A. Comic Con, this time as a hologram that will use AI to have conversations with fans.

Someone says they’re ‘ok’, from the Thomas Crown Affair: “You know I was ok once. My girlfriend went out one night and came back... married. I told everyone that I didn't care, and then I fucked 5 women in 3 days, flipped my car on an on-ramp, beat a suspect unconscious, got suspended. But I was ok”
The muffled "What is she proposing?" from an un-named rando from the scene in Rogue One where Jyn is trying to talk people into her mission. Used any time when a TV show is taking their time getting to the obvious next plot point they're leading to.
What's the most stupid movie reference you have to stop yourself saying regularly? Mine is not replying to "Can I be frank?" with "Okay, Frank. Can I be Bullwinkle".

If she isn’t the Kurgan it’s a wasted opportunity.
Karen Gillan is the latest to join the sword-swinging cast of #Highlander. Henry Cavill is leading the cast that includes Russell Crowe, Dave Bautista, and Marisa Abela bit.ly/4muB8P3

This country is cooked.

I was hugely fortunate to get on @danicadraws.bsky.social commission list. I don't usually ask for cover recreations, but she does amazing ones. I asked her to recreate the cover to Dr. Strange 55 by Michael Golden, but use #Magik instead. She nailed the assignment.

I'm at a Patreon level where I can get a high-level @rpace.bsky.social commission annually. My only guidance was "I want Vader at the end of the corridor from Rogue One". This is what he gave me. I'm fascinated with the colours (better irl) and choices. It's creepy as hell. I love it. #darthvader

Issue 12, page 19 of X-Men. Story by @jedmackay.bsky.social, pencils by @nethodiaz.bsky.social. There were a lot of cool pages I wanted (Marrina calling someone a skeet, or saying she had rougher nights on George Street). But a splash of the X-Men and Alpha Flight together is hard to resist.
