Tuesday was Housing Day at City Hall. After robust public comment and productive conversations, I’m proud of the policies we were able to pass. But we still have work to do!

In the meantime, The Big Game is nearly here. Check out the free events available to all San José residents.

I joined hundreds of volunteers on this year’s MLK Jr. Day of Service for a tree planting with Our City Forest. The power of collective action is just one part of Dr. King’s legacy that remains relevant in 2026. It was a pleasure to join folks from San José to make our city a little greener. 🌳

I joined the Rapid Response Network in solidarity with Minneapolis. What happened was not law enforcement or self-defense – it was unchecked violence, backed by the federal government. Renee Nicole Good should be alive today. She should have been able to go home to her partner and children. (1/3)
