So grateful for the patience and generosity of the #MSUGlobalDH community, and especially our presenters who were able to switch gears on the fly to make sure we could hear everyone's work.
Kudos to @tophkat.bsky.social and @kmapesy.bsky.social and the presenters for handling the inevitability of tech issues in virtual presentations with patience and professionalism.

The fact that they write “permanent modern digital records” tells us that they know absolutely nothing about digital preservation
LTO-9 tapes are 18TB, cost under $100 each, and last for 30+ years making them the most efficient cold storage solution on the market, which every competent IT professional knows, but no im sure you can just dump all of that essential data in some shitty budget cloud storage service lmao
