The best part, and there aren't many, about Jaren going to Utah is the media won't pay attention and push a bunch of stories about his underappreciated value. If he'd gone to a bigger market we'd be overwhelmed with stories spinning him as the missing piece

This year has been so much more painful than the year we tanked for Jaren. We have so many more assets than we did, but geez, the entire fan base is held hostage by a guy who doesn't like to play basketball.

And yes, he will get some compensation for whoever they use the trash player exception on but not getting a '26 first or some other great asset in the deal is pitiful. A bunch of dice rolls on teams being bad next year

For those curious, at this moment there's a 47.9% chance that the Indiana Pacers' 2026 first-round pick conveys to the LA Clippers, which means the Clippers, essentially, are betting on a coin flip this year and, if it doesn't work out, locking in an unprotected pick for 2031.
