In “Peanuts,” Lucy’s psychiatric stand debuted on March 27, 1959. (As the first strip shows, there was no overhead sign at first.) It next appeared on January 28, 1961, after nearly two years (the “learn to relax” gag). Here are the debut and two subsequent appearances:

I think every designer should write a love letter to a font at least once in their lifetime.
