I doubt this signals any real shift at Fox. More likely they’re hedging their bets — testing the political wind and bracing for how rough the midterms might get for Trump, MAGA, and the GOP. Fox doesn’t abandon its core viewers; it just adjusts the tone when it needs cover.
I support the Pope’s position and his universal truth — that a free press, corporate or independent, is essential to defend society from lies, intimidation, and the silencing of truth through extortion or imprisonment. Journalists deserve protection, not punishment. A good read.
