Joseph Weisembaum, the creator of ELIZA, warned about exactly this and described the mechanism back in 1966.

The whole issue of the credibility (to humans) of machine output demands investigation. Important decisions increasingly tend to be made in response to computer output. ELIZA shows, if nothing else, how easy ot is to create and maintain the illusion of understanding, hence perhaps of judgement deserving of credibility. A certain danger lurks there.

Yes. my father is one of the most peaceful, nurturing, and loving men I’ve known. For him and thus also the boys he raised, women’s strength and empowerment was to be embraced and defended as a matter of fairness for all - not something representing threat or loss. No grievance from this POV.
If you (YOU) nurture your children, raise them to understand that all people, regardless of race, gender, status, abilities, religion, etc, deserve respect & consideration AND MODEL THAT BEHAVIOR YOURSELF, INCLUDING TOWARD YOUR OWN ACTUAL CHILDREN, the boys among them will be fine. Promise.

It's dads looking back on their own behavior & going "goddamn it no one can have fun anymore!" & either raising boys to expect they SHOULD be able to do immoral, unethical, illegal, &/or inconsiderate things but have been robbed of their birthright, or simply failing to raise their sons at all.

I'd submit that the problem isn't 13 yos learning not to touch ppl w/o consent (eg)—it's dads seeing a lifetime of privilege shrink & having feelings.

It's a brutal time for young men, and to be raising one. The primary message they now is get is "YOU'RE BAD" without any meaningful attempt to offer healthy pathways beyond "Don't be a boy."
