Got a lil bored today and decided to do stuff with HD-2D and Golden Sun sprites. Man I wish we'd get a remake like this.
And why yes, I did give up texturing my Mercury Lighthouse model when I realized I was going too deep.

the zoot suit Samus meme is interesting because Tom & Jerry's Hep Kats (1943) is really the first "metroidvania." The early route into the girl's house is closed off, so Tom has to collect pieces of more powerful gear and then backtrack. I am making this post specifically to piss off 2-3 game devs.
