Even Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who conceded to his Benfica counterpart Anatoliy Trubin, could appreciate such a remarkable moment.

Just finished watching Ricky Gervais’ After Life on Netflix. I honestly found it a really frustrating.

It finds its feet in the S3 finale, and stings you with a Joni Mitchell needle drop. But it’s far too concerned with pursing Larry David style arguments, that lack the charm of ‘curb’.

The hierarchy have to come out on the side of the manager, and be steadfast in their choices. Simply cannot revert to the managerial merry-go-round that existed under the Glazers footballing leadership.

They have made a choice. Be bloody brave. See it through.

Profound incompetence at board level. Berrada, Wilcox and SJR should be ashamed. No clarity or convictions in their vision at all.

United fans were hoping for change when they took over the football side of the club from the Glazers. It’s simply been continuity.

Ruben Amorim has been sacked by Manchester United.

The Portuguese’s final game of his 14-month spell in charge was the 1-1 draw against Leeds United on Sunday that leaves them sixth in the Premier League after 20 matches.

Appropriate to comeback to this now that Amorim has called out Neville in the media. Neville resents the idea that he might exert a negative influence on the club.

Amorim clearly feels that he is, and I would agree. Carragher has also come attacking Amorim. It’s Amorim v the Media.

Neville and Keane. Two poor pundits and merchants of negativity. Find their analysis of United to be really really infuriating.

The pair just seem to be intent on chasing a soundbite that will get them a headline. Increasingly tune out of their pre and post match coverage.

If I was an advisor to Rosenior, I’d tell him to stay well away from that that job. Nothing good will come out.

No matter how good of a coach you are, that job is primed for failure.

#IT:WelcometoDerry is genuinely good.
The penultimate episode is a high point in particular.

I am slightly apprehensive about how much more there is left to do in subsequent seasons. I’d be concerned that it would become overly repetitive, and reliant on Skarsgård’s spelling binding performance.

Taking my United hat off - how can you honestly not love football. Beautiful chaos.
Bournemouth scored three goals on their last two visits to Old Trafford, but despite scoring four this time it was only enough for a point against Manchester United.

A remarkable game finishes all square and United are now without a win against Andoni Iraola's side in their last five games.

This is bad. But alas, one must not panic just yet.

For the first time, David Moyes wins at Old Trafford as a visiting manager.

Everton went down to 10 players after Idrissa Gueye was sent off for slapping Michael Keane.

Manchester United were unable to reply after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored for the visitors in the first half.

Thought I had posted about this after the first fight, but alas I didn’t.

However it still needs to be said. There comes a point in a combat athletes career where they give so much that they leave a significant chunk of themselves in the ring. This is clearly what has happened to Eubank Jr.

One of my favourite storylines in football. Maguire’s recent cult-hero turn at United is something to behold, and enjoy!

Harry Maguire knows what it is like to be scrutinised at Manchester United.

He has fully established his own redemption arc now.

On Sunday at Anfield, did he kickstart Ruben Amorim’s reign?

An unmitigated disaster.

Onana arrived at United following a fantastic performance in a European Cup final, with a claim to being the best keeper in Europe.

He leaves under the greyest cloud possible. Departing after a disastrous penalty shootout lose to Grimsby Town.

Astonishing Stuff.

Andre Onana has agreed to join Trabzonspor on a season-long loan.

Trabzonspor will cover the goalkeeper’s Manchester United salary in full, with Onana set to earn extra due to bonuses. Sources close to the player say he will earn almost double at Trabzonspor.
