I hold a lot of disdain for the people who didn’t see this coming given P2025 but it does seem like the actual support for these goals is nonexistent, everyone who voted for him did so under the incredibly stupid assumption that he wouldn’t do this

The thing about Trump "joking" about running again in 2028 is that 1) he likes to test the water like this and 2) it happens in an environment where SCOTUS has already shown remarkable flexibility — and could only get more Trumpian.
