You probably know that the federal government has A LOT of debt....

What you may not know is that the interest payments on all that debt are about to get way way more expensive.

Not great!

Janet Yellen’s short-term thinking could cost the U.S. big
The Treasury Secretary’s debt decisions during the pandemic locked in low rates—but only for two years. Now, taxpayers are paying the price.

Same people who are worried Trump will try to prosecute his political enemies are celebrating an absolutely bullshit case against him that is purely political.

It's strange for a person who works for Reason to praise an echo chamber that has virtually no criticism for the governmental failures that have contributed to the current disaster in California.
It’s sad being in an echo chamber where people are just sharing local news, EMS alerts, and resources to help people.
Meanwhile over on Twitter, the biggest blue ticks are all calling the LA fires "DEI fires" and claiming they're deliberate arson by eco-terrorists who are faking climate change. So there's that.

The Kurds are an important ally of the West. Wise leaders will support them. They are one of the bravest fighters in the Middle East that stand up to terrorism.

Tbf Texas is a destination for immigrants from California. Probably more representative of the entire country.

It's still a silly proposition.
According to Mark Zuckerberg, people who live in California are biased but people who live in Texas are objective

You're not making a "moral" argument about someone's character if you have to lie about them to make your argument.
so the practical, legal argument that, even though Jesse Singal is a liar, charlatan, bigot, serial harasser &c., you can't legally punish people for following him, does not constitute a *moral imperative* on my part not to judge people who do.

The only thing people on Bluesky find appalling about 1400 girls being raped is that Elon Musk is talking about it.
Dominic Grieve, ex Conservative Attorney General, excoriates Elon Musk for his baseless accusations against Keir Starmer.

People are very upset in the comments that NYT is not following the Gawker style guide by failing to title this article, "Baby brained dipshits drink raw water and get diarrhea."
Untreated water enthusiasts swear by natural springs, or “raw water.” Many of them are part of the so-called health freedom movement, which opposes vaccine mandates, pasteurized milk and other government public health interventions.
‘Raw Water’ Devotees Swear by Natural Springs, Despite the Risks
Untreated water enthusiasts swear by natural springs. Their movement has parallels with raw milk drinkers and vaccine skeptics.

Trump doesn't live "Rent free" in people's heads on this site. They have built palaces to him in their minds. They are nurtured and sustained by his omnipresence. There isn't a topic that will not eventually turn to him.

This is pretty wild.

But not as wild as the MANY people in the comments saying this proves Trump stole the election. This site is pure BlueAnon.
The NYT article about Blake Lively’s lawsuit is incredible. Her director/costar’s PR team texting

“Holy shit, I can’t believe how well our evil plan to destroy this woman’s reputation is working! Thank god no one will ever read these text messages!”

Bullshit. By "being kind," they mean "vote for liberal policies," which is fine, but it doesn't make you a kind person. The person who reposted this just told someone, "Shut up nerd". These people are shutting out family members who voted for Trump. It's not kindness they treasure. It's sanctimony.
