I recently standardized my anime food panel names so they’re now “Eat the Anime: $theme”.
I didn’t have to ask them, but I appreciate @tsukinocon.com updating 2025 Shows’ name (previously “2025 in Anime…Food?!”) after they heard about that standardization through my public-facing schedule.

Discotek does not get nearly enough criticism for licensing home video titles for Canada and then not actually making those home video releases available here.

I also saw an at-con volunteer holding a Mina (🍉) plushie and wearing a keffiyeh on their shoulder.
Massive props to them for doing this in an attendee-facing role, but I hope they aren’t dinged by the higher-ups 😭

Remade the Kowloon Generic Romance lemon chicken with chicken thighs, while also thrice frying the chicken and microwaving the lemon that we’d juice for the sauce. This take was juicier than the breasts, but tasted a bit burned and had a stronger lemon taste.

Reading about how Sakura-Con handled idol performance panels: I am surprised that they don’t have a way to handle applications for over-represented panel topics, which does involve *checking notes* adding quotas and up-front rejections.

Haven’t gotten on my Hot Chocolate Festival game beyond Aiyaohno Cafe till now, but here are their two hot chocs that I had over the past two weeks!
• Chiikawa MoguMogu Matcha was OK; I can hardly taste the sweet potato 🥲
