My friends and I drank in the hotel bar among several Star Wars actors and even got to have dinner with Tim Rose, the man who played Admiral Ackbar, puppeted Salacious Crumb and worked on a bunch of Jim Henson projects. Incredible convention experience!
People new to conventions don't understand how it once was. Most celebs never charged more than $25, did photos at table for free. You'd randomly bump into a celeb and it was no big deal. Danny Trejo once gave me some cookies, Norman Reedus was hanging out at the hotel bar and wasn't being mobbed.
