Read the thread. A big theme that emerges is that students just… don’t read. At all. And consider requirements to read something burdensome. IMO, it seems like the 2 main culprits are a reading method called 3-cueing & COVID-related cog issues.
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

But once again, that's not the core problem here. The quality will inevitably improve, though I personally doubt to the quality of a dub made by actual humans who care.

Welp, a second AI dub on Amazon has apparently been found, and it's a show that already had a perfectly normal (albeit non-union) dub: No Game No Life.

WRITING TIP, something simple but it catches many of us out: if you have a great/fun idea for your story, *use it now*.
Don’t save your ideas for some nebulous other story you might write tomorrow. I promise you’ll have more.

Due to amazon choosing banana fish as one of their victims for AI-generated English dubbing recently, I want to say NO! watch it on a shitty anime streaming site with Original Voices! The Clips I saw of the AI dub are HORRIBLE, even for AI voices these days, it will kill EVERY MOOD present.

Personnel are anxious, but I don't blame them. After how the last round of testing went, we've had to extend our timeline, up our security, and increase the budget. Well, we had to request an██████ increase on our budget cap. I keep telling the council, if they want answers to the anamalous, they should expect to have to take the long way around. These questions aren't cheap, and I'm not sure the answers will be worth anything. Even improvements to
containment procedures aren't easy ta come by. Not everything responds well to "thicker" doors and more sensors hooked up to it.
I think it's fair to say we have████ been working our -Asses- butts off to even be this far along with the testing
schedule. After what happened with the last test chamber we were using, it should not be surprising that the staff are less than convinced that we have enough barriers and security measures to keep things underwraps this time, much less contained and safe for the employees both in and out of the test area.
It's not easy to know what all will be effective limits to put into place or what defenses can meaningfully help in keeping this place from going nuclear. Warheads onsite is not something I like to think about, but I get why some of our higher ups like to install them so often in these facilities. Who wouldn't want an instant "Oopsies" button that you can have some other poor soul hit for you that wipes the board clean and keeps your "containment record" so damn clean and spatless. Nevermind that you just wiped out an entire site and years of experience with the personnel lost in the blast. I swear, it would cause slightly less anxiety in the team to install personnelx with personal exploding collars to detonate if things went wrong. At least that way one could imagine they might not be caught in the blast and live to test another day.
