This remains my best-ever talk, on "double dipping" in data analysis. Applies to every field of science and data processing, researchers are making the mistakes discussed here every day and in every way #stats #DoubleDipping #RegressionToTheMean

Correction: 25,895 tRAs
TIL from @thehandlab.bsky.social that there are as many TMS related acronyms (tRA) as there are papers in the field.

coming SOON to a screen near you... 👀
sneak preview of the #TMS #MetaAnalysis I've been working on for two years...

this isn't the main result, but it's one of the prettiest graphs I've made in some time, so it's worth bragging about.

there's a *lot* going on in this graph - to be explained in a (near?) future thread..!

Just came back from Palestine and really enjoyed training the UEF teams from Betlehem and Nablus on the use of TMS in mental health. We also donated two TMS systems for use in Bethlehem and Nablus, which makes it the first TMS available in Palestine!

The 3rd chapter of A.A. Milne's "Winnie-the-Pooh" is titled
"In which Pooh & Piglet Go Hunting & Nearly Catch a Woozle."

The characters find footprints in the snow, deduce the presence of a 'Woozle,' which they track.

But they're tracking their own footprints.

Let's talk about 'WOOZLE EFFECT'.
