Whilst we saw lots of activity when we visited Sagrada Familia yesterday we were unaware of the historical significance of the day. The crowning glory of the Basilica is the central tower of 'Jesus Christ' which will be topped by a 17m tall cross.

This winter cactus (Schlumbergera truncata)spent the summer out in our garden but just a week after returning to its place on the bathroom windowsill the first flower buds appeared. It appears that it couldn't wait for Winter or Thanksgiving!

I spotted another unplanned plant combo in a shady corner of the garden. Even in the season of russet leaves, greens can still hold sway. The lavender-blue michaelmas daisy (aster) punctuates its surroundings but shares the limelight with the variegated holly and the ivy Paddy's Pride behind it.

I adore this Acer showing its Autumn crimson. It brackets the seasons starting with fresh crimson leaves 🍁 in the spring and ending with this glorious colouring during Autumn. #autumncolors🍁 #autumnleaves🍂

Greetings on this breezy Saturday.
We're so lucky to have Redbournbury water mill just 5 minutes away. Every Saturday morning the bakery opens to sell great breads made from locally grown grain, milled on site. Flour has been milled here for around a 1000 yrs so they know what they're doing!
