I think this is exactly right … I’m just old enough to have had a beloved great aunt with numbers tattooed on her arm. Her explanation of how she got them forever changed my little kid brain
I blame the passing of the WW2 generation. Some people didn't have a grandparent who would kick their ass for talking up Nazis and it shows.

Judge Sooknanan is giving a master class in judging during the Trump Administration -- but really in how judges should always value the people whose lives are affected by their decisions.

Just to be clear, the executive branch has no constitutional authority to refuse a court appearance on the ground of a unilateral determination that the law favors the president’s position. If the courts don’t push back, the rule of law, always precarious, never perfectly realized, is dead.
