With eBay banning sales of live invertebrates finding good places for isopods selling and buying is getting tricky in the UK.

Gave Raven, our Widow Jumper, a Wax moth today.
After chasing it enthusiastically round its enclosure said moth was caught.
Now it can’t decide where to actually park itself to eat such a huuuge meal.
LED lights cause an annoying flashing on the video but it’s still fun to watch.

110 pieces of Welsh slate moved around 100m.
Total weight somewhere north of 700kg.

Two buddleias, a hisbiscus, two Cronus, a Euphorbia, two huckleberries, two currant bushes, a gooseberry bush, a hebes, and eight fuschias.
All in.
Between them and the trees, wisteria, clematis, and two jasmines we have all the big stuff in.
Admittedly it’s mostly a stick garden, but they’re in.

In ascending order of foulness:
Scum
Pond scum
That which feeds on pond scum
Humans who torture cats with spot on flea and worming treatments.

Thus speaketh Titan.

How I’ve spent my birthday afternoon.
Gods tension on whole stitch is a bitch to get right.
Going to be doing a couple of this one I think, adding in a bit of colour maybe.

Making the colours work wasn’t quite as easy as I’d hoped, but as it’s only my second attempt with colour and my 10th? ever piece of lace I’m happy with it.

That’s six trees planted today to start our new ‘hedge’ our side of the new fence.

Two ornamental cherries, a pink flowered Hawthorne, a silver birch, an Acre, and a pink willow.

My body is beginning to tell me that it isn’t impressed with me but I’m so happy I got them in.

I have been good twice over today.
Not only have I done my best to make my dear Kei’s birthday.
But I resisted dopamining with Isopod mystery boxes.

As ever, getting pictures of 1.5cm long beasties is tricky.

Everyone say hello to Heath the Joker Mantis.

Predicted cold weather means I’ve received a birthday present early.
A little colony of Porcellio hoffmannseggi, a.k.a. the Titan Isopod.
Here’s one of the males - likely not fully grown as they can reach up to 4cm making them possibly the largest terrestrial isopods on Earth.
Gods I love my wife.
