“Then, in addition to immigrant communities, there are observers who are simply trying to monitor using their First Amendment rights, and those folks, too, are being terrorized.”

A couple quotes from me: “It’s very heartbreaking to see the impact on both immigrants who need to try to survive, but can’t go to work in some circumstances, or they feel that they can’t even leave their homes, some of whom feel that they can’t leave their homes even when they’re citizens.”

I wore an ICE OUT shirt while courtside at the Timberwolves game yesterday. Security initially said I needed to give them the shirt (I didn't), but later clarified that I just needed to wear something else. Here's a nice write-up about it by Jon Krawczynski ✊

This article simply parrots DHS when it comes to whether you can post videos or photos online: "the DHS says posting videos and photos of agents online is harassment that threatens their safety." But that's obviously bullshit, as THE FEATURED IMAGE IS OF AGENTS!

I filed lawsuits against Hennepin County & Minneapolis related to excessive force during this police response. Lawyers for both entities tried to get the cases dismissed on summary judgment, but the judge in each case declined, which was a win. My clients elected to settle shortly before trial
Large multi-agency police response to an annual Noise Demo on NYE 2020 in Minneapolis that brought fireworks and graffiti to the downtown juvenile jail. Multiple arrests after protesters were chased around Downtown East by police.

and the person most likely to refer you to the right lawyer is probably the one lawyer you already know & trust
The best way to find a good lawyer is WORD OF MOUTH. The best lawyers don't need to go beat their chests and brag about their win/loss ratio. Good lawyers will always get good referrals from happy clients. So ask around: someone knows someone who will refer you to the right lawyer.
