finally wrapped silksong (still gotta go back and finish act 3) and it is easily the best game i’ve ever played like not even just goty like best of all time, there is so much care and thought in every detail, honestly 11/10

playing 2 banger indie games (silk song and crow country) followed by a AAA game (horizon forbidden west) just shows the state of gaming bc why is forbidden west more than both the 2 indie games combined and it is the most boring game i ever played, like yeah it looks good but there is no substance

my favorite thing about the recent rise in popularity of indie games is how everyone is realizing game feel and an art style is way more important then super high def graphics and a story

first steam sale where i’m not gonna feel bad about buying new games (i’ve beat like 50ish games this year!)

thoughts on the switch 2 so far
-price is alright imo, however mario kart world does not feel like an $80 game
-mario kart world being the only “launch” title is weird, mk is a system seller but i think there should’ve been some more variety

finally played through undertale and i get it, it really is that good

finally beat hollow knight (at 92%) might go back and clean up and get that 100% idk yet) but man is that a good game might be my new favorite indie platformer (sorry celeste)

i’ve never been so excited for a year of gaming, 2025 seems like it’s gonna be such a good year between some big aaas we’ve been waiting forever for to some indies that look revolutionary, can’t wait!
