This is a persistent problem with the legacy media that will become more glaring as Trump does increasingly outrageous things. It is one reason we are seeing viewers and readers abandon them in such large numbers.
It seems most in the press are either unwilling or unable to call out the extremist nature of Trump's appointments using plain language, whether due to complacency, fear of backlash, or a misguided sense of neutrality.

Do I agree with Biden pardoning Hunter? No, no I do not. I think it's gross and likely the reason he decided to drop out of the race (because he knew he'd likely be impeached for it). I'm incredibly annoyed with both sides at the moment. I'm tired and it's only going to get worse.
