Another World is such a beautifully minimalistic game. The pacing, the rhythm of the animation, the music, the cover art, the journey, the companion. It's all perfect, and I always want to make fan art of it. An all time favourite game.
The intro from "Another World" still manages to impress decades later, which is why I feel like it's nearly impossible to describe emotions one felt upon encountering it 35 years ago for the first time.

Finding out that hoarding more than 256 flares in Tomb Raider 3 causes the value to reset to 0, right when I'm at the most puke inducing, dark flashing area of the game. 🤢

(No spoilers) Silent Hill f was excellent. It had my mind sizzling with possibilities all the way through with its mysteries and subtext. Well worth a second playthrough to help recontextualize events and pour over the new documents and endings.

I'm learning (re-learning) to draw again and although I don't have anything I want to show for it yet, it's been nice to lay down a line and have something that passes for the profile of a face, or an eye, a mouth etc in just a few seconds compared to 3d modelling all dimensions for hours.

Looking back on this project, I wish I hadn't been so rushed. There's something pleasant in the textures and surfaces in this Zbrush render that I wasn't able to preserve when I went through the texturing process in Substance. Hope I get the chance to revisit this some time.

The first episode of the UK version of The Genius is out at last. I'll be watching later. I highly recommend seeking out the original South Korean version as well. It's one of my all time favourite survival games with some incredible characters and plays. Lee Sang-Min and Hong Jin-Ho esp. #더지니어스
