Reviewing ladders and hinges today in #AlevelMaths #mechanics. Question mentioned a peg, lots of very confused students. Any good examples or images I could use to explain to them what one is. Could only think of an easel.

In #MathsToday looked a bouncing particles and distance travelled using a GS. #FurtherMechanics Good discussions about link to coefficient of restitution and height after a bounce.

In #ALevelMaths #MathsToday we were reviewing mechanics mock. Made use of the desks as large whiteboard with a focus on particles on a plane and building up complexity.

So, let's try doing #duvetknowitschristmas here this evening? People are literally Driving Home For Christmas right now, which MIGHT JUST mean that they'll be sleeping somewhere unusual. 1/

In #MathsToday students gripped by seeing if 2 students in a class of 30 had the same birthday. They all thought no, I said I was sure it might happen and yes it worked.

Man City will take their two fully branded coaches, drive them to Biggin Hill, put the players and staff on a plane up to Manchester, and then drive the coaches empty up there too.

And then at some point this season, they’ll take part in a Green initiative, telling fans to take public transport.

Working hard on the 6th form trip today, had to stay in the coffee shop so the students could find me. Time to continue working through the exercises.
