Despite playing just 30 minutes, Yeremy Pino led Crystal Palace in:

-shots
-shot sequence involvements
-expected assists (xA)
-expected goal contributions (xG + xA)

He was also 2nd in passes into the pen. area & attempted Palace’s only shot on goal after the 8th minute.

I don’t often vote for the MOTM, but I did this time. Tyrick Mitchell was our best player today. He had the better of Minteh throughout.

What the fuck is going on with advertising? Christmas ads a week into November?! Are you fucking nuts?

Wolves appointing Rob Edwards is surely just a case of accepting they’re going down and preparing for a promotion push next season?

I get that it’s an opportunity for Edwards to move to a club closer to home, but it feels shortsighted given where Middlesbrough are in the Championship.

Also, time to dump the Elvis song. It’s not ours. It’s the antithesis of what we are — Slow, cumbersome, melancholy.

Let it be a thing of the past, an FA Cup memory.

2-0 is a good score but it could and should be more. Yeremy needs one to go in off his arse. Get that Selhurst goal and move upwards!

The seasonal descent into darkness that we experience every year feels all the worse knowing that the anniversary of my sisters death looms.

I’ve found myself thinking about what she was doing, what lead her down the path she took, what the decisive moment was. Grief is torment.

I miss her.

This guy had a great game. Starting to see him adjust really nicely.

Think Brentford are the most direct side we’ve played at Selhurst in a long time. The weird up and under kicks to restart the game were dreadful.

I’m also shocked at their total lack of composure. 4 yellow cards for dissent! Ridiculous. Their harassment of the referee was worthy of an FA charge.

I’ve done it, and honestly the win gave me a kind of peace and serenity which allowed closure.

And forgiveness of Pardew. A man who gave us such a special moment in 1990 and who deserves some grace for a moment of exuberance in 2016.

Pino has had some really nice touches in this game. And is handling much of the physicality well. Good for him.

This is the season for airlines collapsing. They work throughout the summer months trying to raise profits to survive the winter. And unfortunately a fair few airlines suffer when they don’t.

This is bad news for Premier League clubs, who regularly use Eastern.

If you’re worried about Pino adjusting, apply the Kamada Principle. Even players with great talent take time.

What matters is his persistence, determination and willingness to fight on. With the right attitude he’ll adjust.

With this manager trusting him he’ll get the time to.

So wait.

Having a second baby really brings odd emotions to the surface. I feel sadness that I didn’t fully enjoy and appreciate what having our first child was like, because of the whirlwind his arrival caused.

Your first child is life changing. Your second feels easier because you’ve done it before.

Just going to put this out there. What WHSmiths do at service stations in this country should be illegal.

Price gouging on a massive scale. £3 for a bottle of Coca Cola. £6 for a bag of M&Ms. That’s American airport pricing.

And they do it because they have a monopoly on those spaces.
