First attempt at cross-compiling #swift using swift-sdk-generator. Pretty straightforward to use, once you manage to find it... there's a lot of older posts and discussion around cross compilation that muddy the waters a bit.

I'm organizing #swift language user group in Wellington on December 11th. This is something that I've been thinking about for a long time, but never had the guts to follow through with. Given the initial reactions to it, I wish I'd arranged something sooner.

I've been writing a few shell scripts recently, so thought I'd give swift-argument-parser a go. It seems pretty smooth and certainly easier to write in swift than bash, but the compilation factor probably means I won't end up using it. At what point does a shell script justify a compiled binary?

My track record with social media hasn't been great, so we'll see how we go here. Literally just created this account to have a way to track xcodereleases - mostly going to post about swift... maybe some music stuff if I get adventurous ✌️
