Oh, would you look at that? Both Democrats running for the Public Service Commission won their elections. Maybe Summer 2027 won't feature $100 electric bills.
Hey, if you’re in Georgia, too, don’t forget to vote. Two of the five board members who control state electricity policy are being voted for. All five seats are currently held by Republicans and our electric bills have never been higher. Take that info and do what you will.

Why no, I'm not ticked off, world. Why would I be? I just watched a pretty good animated show that comes 4 episodes to a disk, the fourth episode ended on a cliffhanger, and it'll take a week or more to get the 6th disk in the series from the library. Nope! Not at all annoyed! /s

Is it weird that as the impending recession siren keeps blaring, I get a desire not to save money but spend it? Not at chain stores, mind, but at farmer's market stalls, food trucks, local and regional shops, independent art makers, etc. Small fries who will be hit hard.

I think the coffee I bought a few weeks ago is stale. I only noticed the small hole in the bag after I got back home. I'm loathe to throw it away, however, as it cost north of $20 for 2.5 lbs. Can't really waste that these days.

I am happy to report the frozen peas with the best by date of December 8, 2023 are still adequately edible. Good thing, too! I found 2 such bags up there and can't really afford to be wasting stuff right now.

It's nice to be worried or annoyed by inconsequential things as opposed to, well, everything else. Like my pharmacy recently switched from straight walled pill bottles to ones with a shoulder. As the pills run out, they get caught on the shoulder, so you either dump out 3 or 4 at a time, or none.
