I'm not sure that this is the best place to ask this but: has there ever been a consensus on what counts as Jazz and what doesn't? Is there a litmus test of some kind?

We aim for a vibe similar to the production on mid-1980's Leonard Cohen albums. I hope that's jazzy enough for most of you.

-collecting media (physical or digital)
-consuming media
-concerts
-bragging about the above

feels like engaging with these topics could get disastrous

I keep seeing posts from supposedly indecisive people which are really just thinly disguised engagement drivers.

"Which vinyl should I buy?"
"Which boardgame should I play?"

Hon, if you really can't make your own decisions as an adult, maybe asking a bunch of total strangers is also not the answer
