I love, get scared, wake up. Not knowing what to do, I put one foot in front of the other, I try and make the best choices. I screw up all the time. But that is being human. And that's my greatest strength. And someday, I hope for the sake of the world, you understand that its yours too. -Superman

McGovern: "You all know the truth. You know this bill is cruel and will hurt millions of Americans, but Trump wants you to fold. And the sad fact is many of you will fold in a nanosecond. You will vote for this even though you know it's bad for your own constituents. You're absolutely terrified."

He went back to his hotel to find 40K emails from Marriott associates worldwide saying “thank you.”

Bivo placed a $250,000 order with their manufacturer. normal tariff rates, pay $14,261. New tariff = $304,928 charge instead.

The best return days almost never come during sunny bull markets. They show up amid chaos. All 10 of the S&P 500’s biggest one-day gains occurred during bear markets — as did its 10 worst days. In fact, both extremes clustered in the darkest moments when the market was down at least 20% from peak.

White House press corps to explain how the new tariff rates were calculated:
total exports (xi) total imports (mi), "elasticity of import demand" (ε) and "elasticity of import prices" (φ). Problem one of them = 4, while the other = ¼, so they cancel out. Fancy-looking equation is just scam.

there's no allowance for naps or bathroom breaks or other pauses. Back in the day, filibustering members would sometimes wear a diaper or would hide a specimen bottle behind the podium. Booker apparently didn't need that kind of help; he fasted for 2 days prior. quite the physical and mental feat.
