Over the past two months I took a summer course at UW - Madison covering climate change and its effects on our national and local communities.

In class this week, we focused a lot on protest coverage in news media.

One thing that stuck out to me was outlier bias: the tendency for the media to cover sensationalist topics to capture the attention of their audience.
