Op-ed in today's Albany Times Union.

"Supporting more renewable energy development, paired with storage and demand-side resources, will deliver predictable, low-cost power over decades and minimize exposure to volatile international fuel markets."

Commentary: To make energy more affordable, double down on renewables
For years, fossil-fuel infrastructure has been subsidized by taxpayers, creating an illusion of affordability. But renewable energy has lower overall system costs.

Trump is manipulating national security to stop energy projects he doesn’t like
On Monday, December 22, the Trump Administration announced it was pausing five major offshore wind energy projects, citing “national security risks.”

Why are rooftop solar and home batteries more expensive in the US than in other countries?

The cost of permitting and interconnection.

There are tools like meter socket adapters that could help.

HUGE WIN: @governor.ny.gov just signed legislation that eliminates the 100-foot rule. This outdated policy let utility companies charge customers for the expansion of the fossil fuel system. With today’s signature, we are one step closer to #CleanerHeatLowerBills in NYS.
