As I continue to work on the next episode of Parliamentary California. I only keep the Lt. Gov directly elected; but there elected by the people for a single 8 year term.
As a Star Wars fan, I really don’t want a live action Star Wars the clone wars remake because I’m little afraid that they might ruin it. Star Wars the clone wars is just better off being an animated series. As well, they have already finished the story with season 7.

“There will be times when the struggle seems impossible. I know this already. Alone, unsure, dwarfed by the scale of the enemy. Remember this! Freedom is a pure idea….” -Nemik

No matter how hard it is we must keep fighting for our freedom as Americans to safeguard our democracy.

I would of supported Phil Izon if he had this initiative to just repeal the Top Four Jungle Primary and go back to party primaries or even allow party convention to nominate candidates for the general; while keeping ranked choice voting intact.
We have to remain vigilant to keep ranked choice voting in Alaska. It almost got repealed in 2024, but luckily, it didn't pass. But we can't be complacent. We have to defend our democracy if we are to reimagine our democratic system into a prosperous democracy.

I don't think people should be following ICE agents or obstructing their duty to do their job. But they do have a right to use their phones to film them as a means to hold them accountable.

In my opinion, a single person such as the President, should not have the power to veto or sign bills. When a majority of both Houses approve a bill, it should immediately become law without the executive signature.
Congress need to use their political power to check President Trump when it comes to authorizing military action in order countries. Members of Congress have the power to do it. They just need the will to do so. Plus, if the President vetoes it they can still override the veto with a 2/3 vote.

AOC: I’m very encouraged by statements from Senator Tillis and Senator Murkowski, but it is frankly very disturbing that we are not seeing more resistance across the board.

What is your guys opinion of transgender guys playing in all girls sports? I understand why some people don’t like it because some say it leads to unfair advantages.
January 9, 2026 at 2:08 AM
If we want to be a democracy, we have to respect the differences of people's opinions. For instance, I have a coworker at my job who told me that they don't believe transgender guys should play in all girls sports. I disagree with my coworker, but I still respect their viewpoint.
I am not a fan of Newsom using the term California derangement syndrome because it feels very similar to Trump Derangement Syndrome. Are we just going to say to people who disagree with us that they have symptoms of derangement syndrome?

Congress not being informed by the President authorizing military action in Venezuela to capture Maduro is what will help happen in Presidential systems, in which the executive and legislature are separately elected. If we’re a parliamentary, the executive would require to report to Congress b/c

How do you feel about the council-manager model for cities? If you made it so that the manager must be a member of the council, then it basically becomes a parliamentary system.

It would be interesting to try municipal party-list proportional representation!

Presidentialism is a crappy form of democracy. But by any standard the US sucks at it even more.

It's long past time to vastly limit the power of the Presidency and make the House a larger multiparty assembly via proportional representation. Like do that via statute in 100 days of 2029.
The failure of our elites to hold Trump accountable for January 6th is as disgraceful as what happened on that awful day.

Since 2010, 35 democratic leaders around the world have been criminally convicted. Only Trump went unpunished and unconstrained.

Now he threatens democracy at home and abroad.
